Description

One-liner (12 words)

A native Mac library for your manga, comics, and light novels.

Short (40 words)

Torika is a macOS library manager for manga, comics, and light novels. It auto-matches metadata, syncs with MyAnimeList and MangaBaka, reads CBZ, CBR, PDF, and EPUB, and connects to Kavita, Komga, OPDS, and WebDAV servers.

Long (~120 words)

Torika brings order to messy manga and comic collections. It's a native Mac app that auto-matches metadata from your existing files, fills in missing covers and credits, and unifies local files with remote sources like Kavita, Komga, OPDS, and WebDAV — so every CBZ, CBR, PDF, and EPUB you own shows up in one place. It syncs with MyAnimeList and MangaBaka so reading progress stays consistent across every device, and it gets out of the way when you want to read by handing off to your favorite reader app. Built by Momoji Labs, an indie macOS studio. Coming soon to the Mac App Store; an iPad version follows after launch.

Key features

Why it exists

Manga and comic readers have a problem: their collections grow into chaos. Wrong metadata, missing covers, files scattered across drives, and trackers that never match what's actually on disk. Existing apps are either web servers (Kavita, Komga) without a real Mac client, or readers without organisation (Panels, Chunky), or generic ebook apps that don't understand how series work.

Torika is built to be the missing piece — a Mac-native organiser that respects how serious collectors actually work, talks to the tools they already use, and stays out of the way of the reader they love.

Quote

"Five years of this and I was over it. I'd been hand-organizing folders by series, then by genre, then jumping to MyAnimeList every time I needed a description or to remember what I'd already read — and tracking my reads somewhere else entirely. So much wasted time. Torika is what I should've made years ago."
